Serve this easy, cheesy chicken and broccoli lasagna to your family tonight. This casserole comes together quickly and is a great way to get in a hefty dose of veggies!
Chicken broccoli lasagna comes together super fast, plus it’s cheesy, bubbly, creamy and hits all the food groups. My kids don’t even mind their vegetables at dinner when they are covered in Alfredo sauce.
Broccoli and chicken lasagna is a whole meal in a casserole dish, so we keep it simple and just serve up garlic cheese bread as a side. Every once in a while we add air fryer stuffed mushrooms or air fryer calamari to make dinner really special!
It’s a complete change from my homemade lasagna and taco lasagna recipes, so the family doesn’t even realize we make lasagna so often!
This chicken and broccoli lasagna makes a great potluck meal for your next gathering. It also freezes well for the next time you want to stock a friend’s freezer or when you need to meal prep for your busiest family nights.
Just wrap it up in a couple of layers of foil before freezing. And don’t add the cheese until after it thaws for baking!

A full printable version of this recipe with ingredient measurements is available at the bottom of this post.
STEP ONE: Preheat your oven and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
STEP TWO: Cook the pasta noodles to al dente according to package directions. Don’t overcook the pasta because it will be baked later. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
STEP THREE: Cook the broccoli according to the package directions. Allow it to cool, then dice it into small pieces and set aside.
STEP FOUR: Add a portion of Alfredo sauce to the bottom of a 9×13 casserole dish. Then, add a layer of lasagna noodles. Add another layer of sauce followed by shredded chicken breast, broccoli, and cheese. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used.
STEP FIVE: Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
STEP SIX: Let the chicken and broccoli lasagna cool for at least 10 minutes so this creamy, cheesy masterpiece doesn’t slide apart when served.

Variations for Easy Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Lasagna
- Use oven-ready lasagna noodles to save some time and have one less pot to wash!
- Don’t have time to cook the chicken? Use a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket. Or toss a couple of extra chicken breasts on the grill this weekend to cut meal prep time later in the week.
- No Alfredo sauce? Marinara sauce makes an easy swap. And if you sprinkle grated cheese on top, you still get a gooey, cheesy casserole your family will love.
- Mozzarella is delicious bubbling on top of our broccoli and chicken lasagna, but any cheese that melts well works just fine. So pile on the gouda, cheddar, or whatever cheese blend you have handy.

What Should the Top Two Layers of Lasagna Be?
Let’s be honest, most combinations of pasta, sauce, and cheese are going to be a-okay with my family. I like sauce and cheese on the very top.
Some recipes will direct you to have a layer of pasta and cheese on top, but my kids throw on the brakes if the pasta is too crunchy around the edges. So, making sure my lasagne noodles are coated in sauce is a quick and easy solution.
How Many Layers of Lasagna is Good?
Most recipes, this chicken and broccoli lasagna included, call for 3 to 5 layers. But the number of layers will depend on your pan size.
Need to use a smaller casserole dish? As long as the sides are deep enough, it should be just fine to add extra layers of chicken, broccoli, and Alfredo lasagna to the stack.
How to Make Non Sloppy Lasagna?
The most important step to cutting any lasagna cleanly is to LET IT REST! I know that creamy, cheesy goodness is calling your name.
But if you try to cut it before it sits for 10-15 minutes, your noodles will slip off to the side — leaving you with a messy plate (which still tastes delicious, by the way!).
When you let the broccoli chicken and Alfredo lasagna rest, the pasta absorbs some of the liquid to keep your lasagna standing tall.
