I love finding new ways to prepare healthy veggies that can be ready fast and will be devoured by my entire family. That’s why I adore these balsamic Ninja Foodi Brussels sprouts!

The air fryer cooks the sprouts to roasted perfection in just 20 minutes. How nice is that? Meanwhile, the balsamic and brown sugar gives them a mouthwatering burst of flavor. Even my picky eaters gobble them up every time.

Best of all, Brussels sprouts go with everything. From casual family meals to elegant holiday feasts, they’ll complement your main course for any occasion!

I used the Ninja Foodi 8QT Pressure Cooker and Air Fryer for this recipe. I find this to be a great size for my family of four!

How Long to Cook Brussels Sprouts in the Ninja Foodi

The trick to amazing Brussels sprouts is cooking them until they’re crispy on the outside and tender on the inside without letting them get mushy. But you also don’t want to undercook them and end up with tough sprouts that don’t have quite enough crispiness.

For standard-sized sprouts cut in half, I find that 8-10 minutes is usually the perfect amount of cook time. Start checking on them at the 8-minute mark to be safe.

If your sprouts are very small, you may want to check on them after 5 minutes. On the other hand, if your sprouts are larger, they may need a few more minutes in the air fryer. Alternatively, you could cut them into thirds or quarters.

Tips for Making the Best Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

  • Try to cut the Brussels sprouts as evenly as possible so they cook at the same rate. If some of the sprouts are bigger, you could cut them into thirds.
  • When tossing the sprouts with the oil, balsamic, sugar, and salt, ensure every piece is well-coated. This is what will help the Brussels sprouts get extra crispy on the outside and add flavor to every bite.
  • Make sure to shake the basket halfway through the cooking time so the hot air can properly circulate around all sides of the sprouts.
  • Check the Brussels sprouts for doneness starting at the 8-minute mark. You want them to be tender without getting mushy.
  • Serve hot! Crispy Brussels sprouts are best enjoyed right away. You could also add a sprinkle of Parmesan before serving!
