Air fryer chicken fajitas are made with a chili-lime fajita seasoning and coated in Mazola® Corn Oil. A clinical study showed Mazola Corn Oil reduces cholesterol 2x more than extra virgin olive oil.

That means an easy way to make a light and fresh dinner!

Air fryer fajitas have quickly become a favorite in our house. They are incredibly easy to make and can be packed with any meat and vegetables you love.

This air fryer chicken fajitas recipe is made with raw boneless and skinless chicken breast along with bell pepper, onion, and corn oil. You can also substitute frozen chicken strips when you’re in a pinch.

Mazola Corn Oil is a great oil to have on hand when air frying. Mazola Corn Oil has a smoke point of 450°F. Since the average air fryer only reaches 400 degrees F, you can use it for any dish you cook in it.

Mazola has a high smoke point of 450°F. Many home cooks may not realize that all cooking oils have a smoke point that, once exceeded, only negatively affect the food’s flavor and nutritional value.

How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees.
  • Mix the chicken strips, bell pepper, red onion, Mazola Corn Oil, chili powder, cumin, lime juice, salt and pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) in a bowl.

  • Pour the chicken fajitas into the air fryer and cook for 10-13 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F at its thickest point.

The key to getting juicy chicken is to stop cooking it as soon as the chicken hits 165 degrees F. Overcooking chicken is what can make it turn tough and dry.

See tips on how to make a juicy chicken breast in the air fryer here.

How to Heat Up Tortillas in the Air Fryer

Heating tortillas to eat with your fajitas is incredibly easy, especially when your air fryer is already preheated from cooking dinner.

  1. Wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil.
  2. Place them inside your air fryer and cook on 370 degrees for about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Remove them from the air fryer, carefully unwrap them, and enjoy!

I love to heat my tortillas as I’m finishing getting everything on the table for dinner. Once everyone is seated at the table, I remove them from the air fryer, and we get perfectly warmed tortillas every time.

How to Reheat Chicken Fajitas in the Air Fryer

We are constantly making double what we need for dinner and heating it for leftovers the next day. It makes dinner insanely easy when we’re busy.

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. Put the leftover chicken fajitas in the air fryer and cook for 3-5 minutes until heated thoroughly.
  3. Enjoy!

Can You Cook Meat and Vegetables at the Same Time in an Air Fryer?

Yes! As long as you cook the meat to its appropriate internal temperature, they can be cooked from raw and eaten together.

It makes dinner quicker and easier, just like this Mexican chicken fajitas recipe.

Why Should I Use Corn Oil in an Air Fryer?

It can be a common misconception that air frying does not require any oil. While it does still require some oil, it is still much less oil than when cooking in a deep fryer.

Most air fryer recipes will require anywhere from 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of oil.

Corn Oil is a great option for air frying. You can help reduce fats and cholesterol in your meals by simply swapping out butter for Mazola Corn Oil.

Mazola Corn Oil is an all-purpose cooking oil that is a heart-healthy* choice for your family. You can also use it for baking, grilling, sautéing, stir frying, or mixing up a marinade or dressing

    • It’s crazy all the things you can make in an air fryer, Becky! Everything ends up being a “sheetpan” meal, but all cooked in the air fryer!
