Why You Should Make Corn Dogs in Your Air Fryer

  • They come out crispy on the outside and hot in the middle
  • You can have them year-round
  • They are made with no oil making them healthier than the traditional corn dog

How to Make Air Fryer Corn Dogs

  • Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2: Place the frozen corn dogs inside the air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes. I like to use an Instant Read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the hot dog before taking them out. I use this Kizen thermometer because it has a very quick read time.

I look for a temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Since the corn dogs are pre-cooked, they just need to be warmed.

  • Step 3: Remove the corn dogs from the air fryer and enjoy!

How to Make Mini Corn Dogs in the Air Fryer

Since corn dog bites are much smaller than a traditional corn dog, they cook at a different rate.

Here are the directions to make sure you air fry mini corn dogs to perfection.

  • Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2: Place the frozen mini corn dogs in the air fryer. They will cook the fastest in one layer and not touching.
  • Step 3: Cook the air fryer corn dog bites for 7 to 9 minutes using an Instant Read thermometer, as mentioned above, to check the internal temperature.
  • Step 4: Remove the mini corn dogs from the air fryer and enjoy!

Do I Really Need to Preheat My Air Fryer to Make These?

Yes! I have seen constant complaints about people making air fryer corn dogs and ending up with a done outside and a cold hot dog in the middle.

Preheating allows your air fryer to heat food evenly. That means the inside of the corn dog will cook at the same rate as the outside.

It’s why we preheat our ovens as well.

Preheating your air fryer will also allow you to follow these directions with success. Each air fryer heats up at a different rate and it make sense. A 3 QT air fryer will heat to temperature faster than a 12 QT air fryer oven.

But once it hits the temperature it needs, the air fryers should cook the same.
