How to Make Honey Garlic Air Fryer Pork Chops

STEP ONE: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees.

STEP TWO: Season both sides of your pork chops with salt and pepper. I like to be very liberal when seasoning meat with salt. It allows the flavor to really come out.

STEP THREE: Place your pork chops in a single layer in your air fryer. They can be touching, but make sure they lay flat on the bottom of the basket.

You can cook in batches if you cook more pork chops than what your air fryer machine can hold. Here’s why.

STEP FOUR: Turn your air fryer on 400 degrees and cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. The thicker your pork chops, the longer it will take to cook thoroughly.

Pork chops continue to cook when they are out of the air fryer, so they are done once they hit an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.

It’s important to get as close to 145 degrees as possible (not going under) to make for the juiciest air fried pork chops.

STEP FIVE: While cooking the pork chops, you can put your sauce together.

Place olive oil in a small pan over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant, usually 30 seconds to a minute.

Add the lemon juice, sweet chili sauce, and honey to the pan and mix until combined. Feel free to add a little extra sweet chili sauce if you prefer your sauces more on the spicy side.

STEP SIX: Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 3 to 4 minutes.

If you like your sauce a little thicker, mix together 1 tablespoon corn starch with 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl.

Pour the mixture into the sauce and stir well to combine and let simmer another 1-2 minutes.

The mixture will become a thicker consistency as it sits.

STEP SEVEN: Once your air fried pork chops are completely cooked, place in a serving dish and glaze sauce over top of them. Enjoy immediately!

    • I can see why he loves pork chops in an air fryer. They’re delicious! He will for sure love this variety too!

    • They are insanely easy in an air fryer too! I used to think air fryers took out moisture from food, but it’s the opposite. They come out so juicy!

    • They are hands down amazing Ayanna! I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I found a great sale on a small one a few years ago and never turned back. Now I have multiple. Haha!

  1. These pork chops were easy to make and delicious. I ended up adding a 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste, a tad more honey, a tablespoon of Indonesian soy sauce (although mine was not, since this is a gluten-free recipe, I’d use a gluten-free soy sauce if you can find it), some fresh Thai basil, and 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cornstarch (as a thickener) to the sauce. Turned out great! It’s the perfect balance of sweet and spicy if you use sriracha.

  2. So I have a KitchenAid countertop oven with air fry. I’m wondering should I use the air fry basket or a baking pan for air frying these pork chops? I don’t want any fatty juices to drip into the oven

    • I would recommend the air fryer basket for air fryer cooking, but to place a drip pan or sheet underneath to catch any juices.
