How to Make Air Fryer Pork Chops with Parmesan
A full printable version of this recipe with ingredient measurements is available at the bottom of this post.
STEP ONE: Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees F.
STEP TWO: Brush your pork chops with olive oil on both sides, then season one side with salt and pepper to taste.
STEP THREE: In a wide, shallow bowl, combine your parmesan cheeses paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Lay your pork chop in the parmesan mixture and coat both sides.
STEP FOUR: Once your air fryer is preheated, place the pork chops in a single layer in the basket, making sure they’re not touching.
STEP FIVE: Cook for 9 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The pork chops are done when they reach 145 degrees internally using an Instant-Read Thermometer.
Can I Stack Pork Chops in the Air Fryer?
I do not recommend stacking your pork chops. When cooking with an air fryer, you’ll always get the best results by laying food in a single layer with a little space in between. This allows the hot air to circulate so your food is cooked evenly and gets fully crispy on the outside.
How Long Do I Cook Boneless Pork Chops in the Air Fryer?
The cooking time is going to depend on how thick or thin your pork loin chops are. I find that 9 to 10 minutes usually works well for me, but you may need to add or subtract a few minutes based on the thickness of the cut.
Tips to Make the Best Air Fryer Boneless Pork Chops
- Make sure the chops are well-coated with olive oil so the parmesan mixture has a good surface to stick to.
- Always lay the chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not touching. Leaving room for the hot air to circulate between each one is going to give you the crispiest parmesan crust.
- Flip the chops halfway through the cook time to ensure they cook evenly.
What Temperature Should I Cook Boneless Pork Chops To?
You want the internal temperature of the pork chops to reach 145 degrees F. I recommend using an Instant Read Thermometer to give you the most accurate reading so you don’t over-or under-cook your chops.
What to Serve with Boneless Pork Chops in the Air Fryer
- Air Fryer Asparagus with Garlic and Parmesan
- Air Fryer Sweet and Spicy Brussels Sprouts
- Baked Sweet Potato in the Air Fryer

Can I Make This with Bone-In Pork Chops Instead?
You bet! Just keep in mind that bone-in pork chops will cook faster than boneless chops. This is where an Instant Read Thermometer comes in handy so you can cook them until they just reach 145 degrees F.

Why Are My Air Fryer Pork Chops Tough?
If your pork chops are tough or dry, it means they’ve been overcooked. Remember that the chops are going to continue to cook for a few minutes after you remove them from the air fryer, so you want to take them out as soon as they reach 145 degrees F.
How Do I Keep Boneless Pork Chops from Drying Out?
The air fryer works wonders for keeping pork chops nice and juicy! While methods like oven-roasting or grilling can cause pork chops to dry out, the air fryer yields much better results. Just make sure not to overcook them, as this will always dry out pork no matter what method you use!

Can you do this recipe for pork chops with the bone?
Hi Greg, yes you can! I find they cook a little faster with the bone, so I recommend using the same ingredients, but the time and temperature used in my air fryer bone in pork chops recipe here: https://www.everydayfamilycooking.com/air-fryer-pork-chops-bone-in-breaded/
Can grated Parmesan be used?
Yes! I’ve used both. I do love the texture of the shredded Parmesan though.
Would be nice you would mention what a serving size is as stupid people just don’t know
