STEP ONE: Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.

STEP TWO: Meanwhile, pat the boneless pork chops dry, then drizzle them with oil. Rub to coat evenly.

STEP THREE: Rub the pork chop seasoning evenly on both sides of the pork.

STEP FOUR: Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket. Cook for 6 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.

Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F at the thickest point using a meat thermometer.

STEP FIVE: Remove the chops from the air fryer and serve immediately.

How Long to Cook Thin Pork Chops in the Air Fryer

This is going to depend on the thickness of your chops as well as the make and model of your air fryer.

The goal is to cook the chops until they have a nice crust on the outside but stay juicy and tender on the inside. For me, 6 minutes always does the trick, flipping halfway through that time.

The best option is to use an Instant Read Thermometer to know exactly when your chops are ready.

You want the internal temperature to reach 145 degrees F when the thermometer is inserted into the thickest part of the chop.

What Is Pork Chop Seasoning?

Pork chop seasoning usually includes salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, and sometimes a little cayenne.

You can usually find this premade seasoning blend at any grocery store, but you’re also welcome to whip up your own if you prefer!

How Thin Are Thin-Cut Pork Chops?

To be considered a “thin cut” pork chop, they will typically be around ⅛ to ¼ inch thick.

The thinner cut is the reason these chops cook so quickly, but can also be the reason they dry out when they’re not prepared properly. This cut can be boneless or bone-in, although I recommend using boneless for this recipe.

Can You Make This Recipe with Thick Cut Pork Chops in the Air Fryer?

Thicker cuts of meat will require a different cooking time and temperature, so I would not recommend using this recipe for thick cut pork chops.

Next time I’d use a bit less paprika and drizzle some hot honey on top after the flip

Thanks for your suggestions, I love the idea of drizzling hot honey on top after flipping to add your own personal twist to the recipe. I’ll have to try that next time I make this one!
