How Long to Air Fry Pop Tarts

The cooking time may vary depending on the number of pop tarts in your basket and your air fryer design.

There’s always going to be a slight difference between brands and models.

Overall, you want the filling to be heated all the way through and the pastry to be nice and golden. For me, 3-4 minutes does the trick every time.

I just recommend checking on them and experimenting until you get the timing perfect. Consider it an excuse to keep eating air fryer pop tarts!

How Many Pop Tarts Can You Make in the Air Fryer at Once?

This is going to depend on the size of your air fryer. Feel free to cook as many as you can fit in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Since they cook so quickly, it’s easy to make several batches in a row to avoid overcrowding and still have breakfast ready in 10 or 15 minutes.

You may have a bit of overlap depending on the size and shape of the basket, which is okay. The most important thing is to make sure the hot air can circulate around each pop tart.

That way, they’ll get toasted on all sides, and the frosting will get nice and melty.

Can You Make Homemade Pop Tarts in the Air Fryer?

You bet! If you have a recipe for homemade pop tarts, they’ll be amazing in the air fryer. Just be sure to keep an eye on the time since they’ll cook a little differently than pre-made pop tarts.

It might take some experimenting, but it will be worth it!
