Air Fryer Loaded Tater Tots

As the years go by air frying, I’ve started to find a few guilty pleasure recipes I make. This Air Fryer Loaded Tater Tots (also known as Air Fryer Totchos) recipe is my current one.

I’m a mom of two under 4 years old and finding time to make lunch on weekdays with both home can sometimes be impossible.

Our 9-month-old doesn’t eat too many “people” food yet, so I have to prepare at least 2 different meals every day.

I’ve started throwing this air fryer recipe together while I make lunch for both kids. It’s also perfect as a game-day snack or just a fun side dish to spice up your dinner flavors.

I also bought the Cosori Air Fryer Accessory Kit and used the pizza pan included. You can view more about this air fryer and the accessory kit here.

Making Air Fryer Tater Tots

First, you’ll need to make air fryer tater tots in your air fryer. If you’ve never made air fried potato tots before, they are amazing. The air fryer creates a nice crispy outside that you just don’t get in the oven.

They’re made with frozen tater puffs!

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees.

Place your frozen tater tots in the air fryer. They can be touching and even slightly stacked if needed. Cook them for 7-9 minutes, shaking halfway through.

Remove the tater tots from the air fryer.

How to Make Tater Tots Into Air Fryer Totchos

It’s insanely easy to assemble and cook air fryer loaded tater tots.

Place the cooked tater tots in an air fryer safe pan. I used the pizza pan included in the Cosori Accessory Kit, but any oven-safe pan that fits into your air fryer will work.

Add the shredded cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and chopped green onions.

I love using crumbled up Air Fryer Crispy Bacon cooked for an additional 2 minutes when I can, but also use the McCormick Bacon Bits when I am pressed for time or haven’t made any bacon recently.

Turn air fryer temperature to 350 degrees and cook for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Remove the pan carefully from the air fryer and drizzle with sour cream if desired. It’s worth it.

And now you have Air Fryer Totchos! They’re like nachos and a loaded baked potato all in one.

Enjoy immediately!
