Peach Smoothie Recipe

My peach smoothie recipe is thick and creamy with no ice needed, just frozen peaches, banana, vanilla yogurt, and milk. It’s made with just 4 ingredients and blends up in 5 minutes!
If you love peaches as much as we do, I have a whole stack of ways to use them. My peach crisp is what I make with a big batch, and my peach ice cream is the frozen treat I pull out when I want to go all out.

Why I Never Add Ice to My Peach Smoothie

My peach smoothie recipe is the one my daughter Leah asks for all summer, and I never add a single ice cube. It still comes out thick and cold every time.
Here is the trick. I use frozen peaches AND a frozen banana, so the fruit is what chills and thickens it. Ice waters a smoothie down and dilutes the peach flavor. Frozen fruit keeps the smoothie thick and tasting like real peaches.
Leah has had a serious sweet tooth lately, and this is her most requested treat. I keep a bag of frozen peaches in the freezer so I can blend up this peach smoothie recipe whenever the heat kicks in. It is one of my go-to breakfast ideas when I want to keep things sweet but easy.
The other thing I love is how easy it is. It is just 4 ingredients, frozen peaches, a frozen banana, vanilla yogurt, and milk. Everything goes straight from the freezer and fridge into the blender. There’s no chopping, no peeling, and no ice to crush.
The frozen banana is doing more than you would think. It makes the smoothie creamy without any ice cream, and it adds enough sweetness that I never reach for sugar. The vanilla yogurt rounds it out, so it tastes like a peach milkshake you can have for breakfast.
For another easy blender drink that uses the same no-ice idea, my pineapple smoothie is just as thick and just as quick.

Peach Fruit Smoothie Ingredients
- Frozen peaches – The star in the smoothie! I use them frozen instead of fresh so they thicken the smoothie and keep it cold without any ice. One 16 ounce bag does it.
- Frozen banana – Adds creaminess and sweetness, and helps thicken it too. One banana is all it takes.
- Vanilla yogurt – Brings a creamy texture and a little vanilla flavor. Greek or regular both work, so use what you like.
- Milk – Thins it just enough to make it pourable and drinkable. Whole milk is my go-to, but any milk works.
How to Make a Peach Smoothie Recipe
A full printable version of this recipe with ingredient measurements is available at the bottom of this post.
STEP ONE: Add the milk, yogurt, and banana to a blender, then pile the frozen peaches on top.
STEP TWO: Blend until smooth and creamy. If it is too thick to move, add a splash more milk and blend again.
STEP THREE: Pour the peach fruit smoothie into glasses and drink it right away. Enjoy!

Recipe Tips
- Add the liquid first. I always pour the milk in before the frozen fruit. It pulls everything down into the blades so the smoothie blends smooth instead of getting stuck.
- Keep the fruit frozen. Don’t thaw the peaches or banana. The more frozen the fruit, the thicker and colder this peach smoothie turns out.
- Add milk a little at a time. If it is too thick, I stream in milk 2 tablespoons at a time so I don’t accidentally make it runny.
- Freeze your own bananas. When I have bananas getting too ripe, I peel and freeze them for smoothies. A frozen banana makes it really thick and creamy.
- Garnish for fun. A fresh mint leaf or a peach slice on the rim makes it feel a little special, and my kids drink it faster when it looks fancy.
Variations
- Use fresh peaches. If all I have is fresh, I dice and freeze them first so the smoothie still comes out thick. Frozen really helps bring in the iciness without diluting the flavor.
- Swap the milk. Almond, oat, or coconut milk all work if you want it dairy-free. Use whatever you like best.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon. It gives the smoothie a warm, peach-cobbler kind of flavor.
- Throw in more fruit. Strawberries, blueberries, or mango all blend right in with the peaches. I love a handful of raspberries for a little tartness.
- Make it a dessert. Top it with homemade whipped cream and it basically turns into a peach milkshake. My kids are obsessed.
- Use Greek yogurt. It makes the smoothie thicker and a little more tart, so I add a touch of honey if the peaches are not super sweet.
What to Serve with a Peach Smoothie
Most mornings I just hand these out as a grab-and-go breakfast. But if I have a few extra minutes, this peach smoothie recipe is so good next to something warm. My coffee cake muffins are my favorite for that, or banana blueberry oatmeal muffins if I baked a batch over the weekend.
And on a lazy Saturday? I pour these next to a big stack of air fryer pancakes or French toast pancakes and call it brunch.

Peach Smoothie Recipe FAQs
Do I need to add ice?
Nope, and that is kind of the whole point! The frozen peaches and frozen banana do the same job as ice without watering anything down. You get a thick, cold smoothie that still tastes like real peaches.
How do I make it thicker?
The easiest fix for this peach fruit smoothie recipe is using less milk. I start with a little and add more only if I need it. If it is already too thin, I toss in a few more frozen peaches or another chunk of frozen banana and blend again.
Can I make it ahead of time?
Smoothies are best right after blending, but you can store one in an airtight container or a mason jar to keep the air out. Refrigerate or freeze it and enjoy your peach fruit smoothie within 48 hours for the best texture.
Can I make it dairy-free?
Yes! Swap the milk for almond, oat, or coconut milk and use a dairy-free yogurt. It blends up just as creamy.
