I love to cook frozen food in the air fryer and air fryer frozen pizza is no different. The crust ends up crispy while the cheese melts at the perfect rate.

And let me tell you, I am CONSTANTLY making this in my air fryer. With 2 young kids home all the time right now, it’s something super quick and easy to make while putting together the kids’ lunches.

Frozen pizza can vary from frozen French Bread Pizza to Deep Dish Pizza to even Ellio’s rectangle pizza, so there are a few temperatures and times I have found that will end with perfect results.

Just look for your favorite kind of pizza below, follow the cooking directions, and enjoy!

  • Small frozen personal pizza (mini pizza): 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes
  • Frozen French bread pizza: 350 degrees for about 5 minutes
  • Personal frozen deep dish pizza (like Red Baron’s): 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes
  • Ellio’s pizza: 350 degrees for about 5 minutes – I like to add a little extra cheese in the last minute to make it even cheesier!

Do I Need to Preheat My Air Fryer?

Yes, I recommend preheating your air fryer to allow the frozen pizza to get crispy on the outside and fully cooked and hot on the inside.

Think of your air fryer like a mini oven. You always preheat it before placing food in and with an air fryer, you should do the same.

This way recipe directions will always have the correct timing and you can start setting and forgetting foods in the air fryer like a frozen pizza!

Can I Place the Frozen Pizza on a Parchment Round?

I find that air fryer frozen pizza cooks best without any parchment round or aluminum foil underneath. Since an air fryer’s heat source is on the top, you want it to circulate as much air to the bottom and get a crispy crust.

Using parchment paper will cause a softer crust.

I also do not recommend using an air fryer silicone basket for these directions. The baskets set the food up slightly higher and will brown the cheese a bit more. If you do plan to use a silicone basket, start your temperature at 380 degrees and cook for a few minutes longer.

Silicone baskets are great for cleanup and are completely dishwasher safe.

How Do I Reheat Frozen Pizza in the Air Fryer?

If cooking pizza from actual frozen, follow the directions above. If reheating the pizza from leftovers in the fridge, follow the below!

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. Place the leftover pizza in the air fryer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from the air fryer and enjoy!

  2. What do you place your pizza on? On a pizza stone? On a perforated sheet? In the middle of the oven, or directly on the glass plate? The air fryer basket is not large enough to hold the pizza.

    • I placed mine right in the basket, but you can use a parchment round or silicone round. I used a personal mini pizza and it fit in my 5.8 quart air fryer, but if your air fryer is smaller, it may not be large enough to cook it.

    • Hi Denise, these directions get the best crispy crust without burning the cheese. I just bought a Dual Cosori air fryer, so you can use just the bottom heat to crisp it up even more at the end of needed in that one!

  3. This is a real game changer for frozen pizza. I have never made a frozen pizza of any brand that comes out this good! Nicely browned cheese on top and nice crispy crust my kids really love it!

    • I’m so excited to hear that this recipe exceeded your expectations. I’m glad to hear the kids enjoyed it as well. Thanks for sharing your experience!

  4. I have used every method of cooking a frozen pizza, but the BEST method is an air fryer. I take a frozen pizza and break it in quarters (turn it upside down on the edge of your kitchen counter and put pressure on the pizza until it breaks in half, then, do the same thing to the other halves). Then, place the wedge of frozen pizza directly into the basket and cook at the, above, directed time and you’ve got the best-tasting pizza.

Same goes for re-heating a cooked ( refrigerated ), comes out terrific!
