Ingredients

  • 3 ounce packet orange gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 3.4 ounce packet instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 15 ounce can of mandarin oranges drained
  • 8 ounce cool whip
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  • Stir together the jello and boiling water in a large bowl until the crystals dissolve.
  • Add the cold water, vanilla pudding mix, and mandarin oranges and mix them well.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then fold in the cool whip, followed by the mini marshmallows.
  • Cover it, and let it chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours before serving

Notes

  • Start with a very large bowl that will fit all the ingredients.
  • Drain the oranges well! The salad can end up too runny if they're not drained properly.
  • Fold gently to keep the orange salad nice and fluffy.
  • Chill the salad for at least three hours or even overnight before serving.
  • Storing any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container or covered in plastic wrap for up to 4 days. The ingredients may start to separate after two days, so just give it a stir before eating.
