Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
Place the bread slices in the air fryer basket or tray in a single layer.
Air fry them for 3 minutes, flipping the bread after 2 minutes.
Always preheat so the bread gets the perfect amount of crispiness.
If the bread is light and starts to move, place a small wire rack on top of it to keep it down.
Thin slices crisp quickly, while thicker slices like Texas toast take longer.
Flipping the bread halfway through the cooking time helps me get it evenly toasted on both sides. I usually flip mine at the 2-minute mark.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or on the counter for a day.
Reheat leftovers in a preheated air fryer at 400 degrees for 1 to 2 minutes.
