Easy Air Fryer T Bone Steak

My recipe for air fryer t bone steak is cooked with simple seasonings to bring out the already tender cut of meat for an easy dinner!

  • Bring the steak to room temperature for about 20 minutes. 
  • Rub the olive oil over the steak, then season with Montreal steak seasoning. 
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Then air fry the steak for 10 to 11 minutes for medium rare, flipping the steak halfway through the cooking time.
  • Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing to let the juices redistribute through the meat.

Notes

  • Keep in mind that thicker steaks while take a little longer to cook and thinner steaks can cook faster. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
  • Let the steak come to room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking so it cooks more evenly.
  • Pat the steak dry before adding oil and seasoning. It helps the outside get that nice crispy edge.
  • Flip the steak halfway through the cooking time.
  • Reheat leftovers in a preheated air fryer at 350 degrees F for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Cooking chart:
    • Rare (125°F internal temperature) – 9-10 minutes
    • Medium rare (130°F internal temperature) – 10-11 minutes
    • Medium (140°F internal temperature) – 11–13 minutes
    • Medium well (150°F+ internal temperature) – 13–15 minutes
