Easy Air Fryer Onions

My easy air fryer onions come together in just minutes. They become sweet and caramelized within minutes for so many uses!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions, sliced yellow or Viladia onions
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sliced onions with the olive oil and salt until they're well coated.
  • Air fry them for 5 minutes or until the desired level of tenderness is reached, stirring them once halfway through the cooking time.

Notes

  • Vidalia onions and all kinds of sweet onions, white onions, and red onions all work great.
  • Larger onions are much easier to cut into slices.
  • Spread the onion slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket to help them cook evenly.
  • To get crispier onions, cook for a few extra minutes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
