- 2 medium onions, sliced yellow or Viladia onions
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.
In a large bowl, toss the sliced onions with the olive oil and salt until they're well coated.
Air fry them for 5 minutes or until the desired level of tenderness is reached, stirring them once halfway through the cooking time.
- Vidalia onions and all kinds of sweet onions, white onions, and red onions all work great.
- Larger onions are much easier to cut into slices.
- Spread the onion slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket to help them cook evenly.
- To get crispier onions, cook for a few extra minutes.
