1 pound fresh green beans washed and trimmed 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika 2-3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese or grated fresh lemon juice optional
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the green beans with oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Place the beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry them for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
Remove them from the air fryer, top with Parmesan cheese, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, if desired.
Pat the green beans dry with a kitchen towel or paper towels before seasoning to remove excess moisture and help them crisp up.
I cook the fresh green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket to allow them to cook evenly. Cook them in batches if needed.
Sprinkle the Parmesan over the green beans while they’re hot. This helps the cheese melt slightly and stick to the beans.
To use frozen green beans, air fry at 380 degrees F for about 11 minutes.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat leftovers in a preheated air fryer at 350 degrees F for 3-5 minutes until they’re warmed through.
