Spread the crescent roll dough out onto a flat surface and lightly press down on all the perforated lines with your finger. This allows the dough to form a single piece.
Cut the crescent roll sheet into 8 even squares.
Place one Oreo in the center of each crescent roll dough square and roll all four corners inward on top of the Oreo. The bunch the rest of the crescent roll over the Oreo, making sure it covers the entire cookie.
Preheat the air fryer to 320 degrees then place the Oreos in the air fryer in a single layer with space in between each. Air fry them for 5-6 minutes, remove them from the air fryer, then dust with sugar, if using!

Notes
Gently bunch the crescent roll dough around the Oreos, being careful not to stretch the dough and avoid tearing.
Always leave plenty of space between the Oreos so they cook evenly in a single batch. If any of them are touching, the dough will merge.
Watch for golden edges at 5–6 minutes. I check around 5 minutes to avoid over-browning.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–2 days.
Reheat them in the air fryer preheated to 320 degrees F, for just 2 minutes -- just long enough to get warmed and crisp again.
