Crockpot French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

French Toast

  • 8 cups cubed bread
  • 8 oz. cream cheese cubed
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 6 large eggs
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Topping

  • ½ cup flour
  • cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter cold

Instructions

  • Spray crock pot with cooking spray, then add bread cubes and the cream cheese to the bottom of the dish
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the milk with the eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and salt, pour over the bread cubes and toss to evenly coat (be gentle to not break the bread)
  • Place the flour sugar and butter in a large bowl and cut the butter in until evenly mixed
  • Sprinkle topping over the bread mixture and place lid on the pot and allow to soak overnight
  • Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours
  • Serve warm with berries and maple syrup
