Easy Strawberry Shortbread Cookies

These strawberry shortbread cookies are a yummy & simple treat!

They are easy to prepare & topped with a sweet & special glaze!


– Freeze dried strawberries – All-purpose flour – Butter, softened – Powdered sugar – Pure vanilla extract FOR THE GLAZE – Powdered sugar – Milklo Sauce

~ Pulse the frozen strawberries till a fine powder, then mix with flour ~ Combine the butter, powdered sugar, & vanilla till light & fluffy

Step 1

With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the  flour-strawberry mixture to the butter mixture!

Step 2

Shape the dough into a disc & wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. Place it in the fridge to chill for 15 mins.

Step 3

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface, cutting into your desired shape. Chill for 15 mins before baking.

Step 4

Bake the cookies for  15 to 17 mins, or just until the centers are set.  You don’t want them to brown too much!

Step 5

While cookies are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar & milk.

Step 6

Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies & garnish with additional freeze dried strawberry crumbs, if desired!
