Fruitcake Cookies

All the beauty of a fruitcake โ€” in cookie form! These are the perfect holiday cookies ๐Ÿ‘‰


โ€“ Butter, melted โ€“ Granulated sugar โ€“ Light brown sugar โ€“ Large egg โ€“ Pure vanilla extract โ€“ All purpose flour โ€“ Baking soda โ€“ Orange zest โ€“ Ground cinnamon โ€“ Ground nutmeg โ€“ Dried cherries โ€“ Golden raisins โ€“ Toasted and chopped pecans

Add the melted butter & sugars to a bowl - whisk to combine. Whisk in the egg & vanilla extract.

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, orange zest, cinnamon & nutmeg.

Step 2

Add the dry ingredients to the wet & fold them together until no large lumps of flour remain.

Step 3

Add the cherries, raisins, pecans, and orange peel. Fold the fruit into the cookie dough.

Step 4

Cover the dough and place in the fridge to chill for 30 mins, while you preheat the oven.

Step 5

Scoop out 1.5 tablespoon sized portions & place them at least 2โ€ apart on the baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake for 13-15 mins, or until the edges of the cookie are just golden brown!
