Place the butter, lemon juice, zest and minced garlic into a 9x13 baking dish.
Put the baking dish in the oven and begin to preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Allow the butter and lemon juice to combine as the butter melts. Once the butter is melted, remove it from the oven.
Lay the tilapia into the lemon, garlic butter and season one side of the tilapia with salt, pepper and red pepper. Flip the tilapia over and season the other side.
Add the sliced lemon on top of the fillets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the fillets is white, tender and still somewhat firm. When a fork goes through it, it will have a flaky texture. Garnish with fresh parsley.
