Easy Steak Marinade (3 Ingredients!)

My easy steak marinade uses 3 ingredients I always have on hand, soy sauce, Worcestershire, and Dijon mustard. There is no oil, since the mustard helps everything cling to the steak and the meat browns on its own fat. It whisks together in 5 minutes, and it works on cheaper cuts like flank, skirt, and sirloin.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, Worcestershire, and Dijon mustard.
  • In a glass dish or ziplock bag, pour the marinade over the steak and let it marinate covered in the fridge for at least an hour, but up to 24 hours.
  • Cook steak as desired.

Notes

  • Makes ⅓ cup of marinade, which is good for 1 pound of meat. For additional meat, double the recipe as needed.
  • Marinate the steak for at least an hour, but I love to marinate my steak overnight or in the morning for the most flavor. Just don't let it go more than 24 hours or the steak can start to break down.
  • Let the steak come to room temperature before cooking it for even cooking and the best texture. I pull it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before I want to use it.
