My pork steaks in the oven are easy to prepare with a flavorful marinade made from simple ingredients. Tangy Italian dressing helps tenderize the meat, while simple seasonings add loads more flavor. This recipe pairs wonderfully with easy sides like veggies or biscuits to make the meal complete.
In a bowl, combine Italian dressing, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
Place the pork steaks in a bag or bowl and pour the marinade over the pork. Cover and refrigerate them for 30 minutes up to 12 hours.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Place the pork in a 9×13-inch dish, cover the dish with foil, and bake the steaks for 2–3 hours until they are tender and reach an internal temperature of 190–195 degrees F.
Remove the foil and broil the steaks for 2–3 minutes if you want color.
Let them rest for 5 minutes and enjoy!
Notes
Rest the meat at room temperature before baking for even cooking.
Use a meat thermometer. 190 to 195 degrees F will result in delicious tender, fall-apart results.
Broil the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes at the end for a beautiful caramelized finish.
The drippings can be used to make a sauce. After baking, transfer the juices to a saucepan with a splash of broth and a little butter. Simmer until reduced, then drizzle over the pork when serving!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350 degrees F for 15-25 minutes in a baking dish with a splash of broth or water and covered in foil.
