Easy Hot Cocoa Dip

My hot cocoa dip is made with actual hot cocoa mix and Cool Whip for a light, creamy, and true hot chocolate taste. It's perfect for graham crackers, Nilla wafers, and more for a cozy night treat!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 3 packets hot chocolate about ½ cup
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip or other whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/8 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mash together the cream cheese and hot chocolate packets until it's smooth.
  • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until it is evenly mixed in.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and let it chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
  • When ready to serve, remove it from the fridge, give it a quick stir, then top it with mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips.

Notes

  • Let the cream cheese soften first so the ingredients blend easily and stay lump-free.
  • Give the dip time to chill so it has time to set and gets that creamy, perfect consistency!
  • Before serving, give the hot cocoa dip a quick stir to help soften it up and get it ready for dippers.
  • For an ultra-soft, fluffy consistency, let the dessert dip sit out on the counter for a few minutes.
  • Add the toppings right before serving so the marshmallows stay soft and the chocolate chips don’t sink.
  • Store leftovers wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
