Salad:
- 1 ½ - 2 pounds green seedless grapes
- 1 ½ - 2 pounds red seedless grapes
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup pecans pieces toasted
Wash and dry the grapes. They should be dried so the cream cheese mixture will stick to them.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla, using a hand mixer.
Place the grapes into a large bowl and fold in the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
Optional: Toast the pecans. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the pecans on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until they smell fragrant. This enriches the flavor of the pecans, but it is totally optional.
When ready to serve, sprinkle the brown sugar and pecan pieces on the top.
