Ingredients

  • 8 ounces white button mushrooms sliced in half
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, toss the mushrooms with the melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the mushrooms to the air fryer basket and cook them for 10 minutes, flipping them once halfway through the cooking time to get golden and crispy on all sides.

Notes

  • Slice the mushrooms in half vertically so the pieces cook evenly and keep their shape.
  • Toss the mushrooms in a bowl before air frying to make sure the seasoning coats every piece.
  • Preheating my air fryer for a few minutes means the mushrooms start sizzling as soon as they go in.
  • Keep the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket to prevent them from steaming.
  • During cooking, flip the mushrooms once or twice to help them get golden and crispy on all sides.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat leftovers in a preheated air fryer at 350 degrees F for just a few minutes until warmed.
