Ingredients

  • (2) 5 ounce halibut fillets
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a small dish, mix the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until they are well blended.
  • Rub the olive oil on all sides of both fillets, including the skin side. Generously sprinkle the seasonings on all sides of both fillets.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F. Place the fish in the air fryer without touching each other. Air fry them at 350 degrees F for 6-8 minutes. They're done when the fish has an internal temperature of 130 degrees.

Notes

  • Pat the fish dry with a paper towel to help the oil and spices stick better.
  • Rub the fish generously with oil and coat it well on both sides with the seasoning blend. This gives me that delicious crispiness!
  • I usually spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to keep the fillets from sticking.
  • Leaving space between each fillet in the air fryer is the key to getting each piece of fish crispy and cooked to perfection.
  • To keep the fish moist, do not overcook it. Once the cook time is up, use a fork to gently nudge the fish to see if it flakes easily and is translucent all the way through.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer preheated at 350 degrees F for just a few minutes.
