Ingredients

  • 2 1–1.5 lbs pork tenderloins not pork loin
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar increase to 2 tablespoons for more sweetness
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low-sodium recommended

Instructions

  • Place both tenderloins side by side in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chicken broth, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Whisk them until they are fully blended.
  • Pour the sauce mix over the pork tenderloins in the slow cooker.
  • Cover the dish and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, or on HIGH for 2.5 to 3.5 hours.
  • Cook until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) when measured with a meat thermometer.
  • Remove the tenderloins and let them rest on a cutting board for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Place a slow cooker liner in the crock pot before adding the ingredients. This makes the cleanup process so simple!
  • Don’t lift the lid during cooking. Every time the lid comes off, the heat escapes, which adds an extra 15 to 20 minutes to the cooking time.
  • Use a digital meat thermometer to check that the pork has reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
  • Let the pork rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing so that the juices can redistribute. This is my best tip for perfectly juicy pork every time!
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat leftovers on the stove with a splash of broth. Cover them and let them cook on medium-low heat for about 2-3 minutes until warmed. Or reheat them in the oven at 325 degrees F for 10-15 minutes.
