Ingredients

  • 4 bun-length hot dogs
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 hot dogs buns for serving
  • Your favorite hot dog toppings

Instructions
 

  • Preheat a grill to 375-400 degrees, oiling the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Using a sharp, short-blade knife, cut several shallow crosshatch-style cuts on opposite sides of each hot dog.
  • Place the hot dogs, cut side up, on the grill. Carefully brush them with BBQ sauce, ensuring to get some inside the crosshatch cuts. 
  • Grill for 5-7 minutes, flipping once, until hot dogs are grilled to perfection. Serve immediately on hot dog buns with more BBQ sauce and your favorite toppings.
