Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • cup brown sugar

Optional

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-2 dashes liquid smoke
  • 1-2 dashes hot sauce

Instructions

  • Add ketchup and brown sugar (as well as vinegar and any additional spices desired) to a small saucepan set over medium-low heat.
  • Cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and use as desired. Refrigerate leftovers in a mason jar.*

*Leftovers will keep up to 2 weeks when stored properly in the fridge
