Mac and Cheese Without Milk

– Dried noodles  – Butter – Flour – Chicken stock – Cream cheese – Garlic powder – Paprika – Kosher salt – Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles to al dente according to the package directions.

Step 1

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the flour and whisk. Cook the roux, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add the chicken stock, whisking constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add cream cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and salt and stir. Add the cheddar cheese and stir.

Step 4

When all of the cheese has melted, remove from heat and add the noodles. Stir to combine. Serve and enjoy!
