Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs can use up to 3lbs

Honey Soy Marinade

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oil I use vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix together the soy sauce*, oil, honey, garlic powder, and ground ginger in a big bowl.
  • Remove half of the marinade and place in a small bowl or container and set aside.
  • Add chicken thighs to a big bowl of marinade and coat chicken.
  • Refrigerate marinated chicken for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.**
  • Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.
  • Add marinated chicken to the air fryer and cook 10-15 minutes, until its internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  • Baste additional reserved sauce on top after cooking.
  • Enjoy immediately.

Notes

*if using a low-sodium soy sauce, add a pinch of salt to up the flavor
**chicken can be made without being marinated, but may not lock all the honey soy flavor in.

How to Make Frozen Chicken Thighs in the Air Fryer:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees.
2. Place frozen chicken thighs in the air fryer and cook for 15-20 minutes, depending on size. Flip them and baste them with half of the marinade halfway through cooking.
3. Remove them from the air fryer and baste them with remaining marinade, then enjoy!
