EVERYDAY FAMILY COOKING

– Unsalted butter – Granulated sugar – Light brown sugar – Large egg – Pure vanilla extract – All-purpose flour – Baking soda – Kosher salt – Dark chocolate chips *all ingredients here

In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.

Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Add the chocolate chips and chopped pecans and gently fold them into the cookie dough.

Scoop out portions and place the cookie dough balls on the  baking sheets. Flatten into ⅓” thick discs.

Bake the cookies for 13-15 minutes. Allow the cookies cool on the baking sheet then transfer to a wire rack
