Air Fryer  Falafel


– Dried chickpeas – Red onion, chopped – Garlic cloves, peeled – Fresh parsley – Fresh cilantro – Dill, stems removed – Ground cumin – Ground coriander – Sea salt – Black pepper

Soak your chickpeas in water for 18-24 hours, then drain the chickpeas well and pat them dry.

Step 1

Add the chickpeas, onion, garlic, herbs, and spices to the bowl of a food processor fitted with a blade. Pulse until well combined.

Step 2

Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover it tightly with a lid, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Stir the sesame seeds and baking powder into the mixture.

Step 3

Wet your hands, then scoop heaping tablespoonfuls of the mixture and form it into balls or patties

Step 4 

Spray the inner basket of the air fryer with cooking spray, then place the falafel in an even layer inside.

Step 5 

Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping them once halfway through the cook time.
