Air Fryer  Katsu Chicken

If you’re looking for an easy weeknight dinner with a Japanese twist, this chicken katsu recipe is for you!

Ingredients

PREP TIME: 15 MINS TOTAL TIME: 45 MINS

– Boneless skinless chicken breasts – Kosher salt, Black pepper – Eggs, beaten – Water – Panko bread crumbs – Ketchup – Worcestershire sauce – Oyster sauce (or soy sauce) – Brown sugar

Cut the chicken breasts in half horizontally, creating four filets. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 1

Dredge the chicken in the egg mixture, then press into the bread crumbs. Repeat the process a 2nd time with each piece, double coating them!

Step 2

Place the chicken in an even layer in the air fryer basket, spraying the top with cooking spray.

Step 3

Air fry for 16-18 mins, flipping the chicken halfway through until golden brown.

Step 4

Transfer the katsu to a cutting board to rest for at least 5 mins before slicing. Serve over rice, with vegetables & katsu sauce!

Step 5

for the katsu sauce:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl & whisk to combine. Refrigerate any leftover sauce!
